About Therapy

Everyone needs therapy more than ever.

It’s 2026, and the world is still a bit of a dumpster fire.

Every day seems to bring a new catastrophe, another change, and another reason to question your sanity.

People aren’t okay – and honestly, you’re not either.

You will have my undivided attention.

No, I can’t make everyone suddenly get along, but I can help you turn down the noise and focus on what you can actually control.

Imagine: a whole hour where it’s about you in a place to unload, process, and start feeling like yourself again – built-in self-care, minus the guilt.

When you sit down with me, you get my full attention and a practical, action-focused approach. Need a venting session? I’m here for it. Want to challenge that nonstop negative self-talk? Let’s do it.

Need someone who truly sees you? That’s what I do best. I’ll help you recognize that you are worth the time and energy you keep giving to everyone else.

The approach depends on your specific needs.

I show up in session with empathy, humor, and zero judgment.

I’m here as your sounding board, your strategist, and sometimes your gentle reality check.

Depending on your needs, I pull from approaches like Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you shift the thoughts and habits that keep you stuck in anxiety, overwhelm, or burnout.

Together, we’ll get you back to feeling grounded – and remind you that it’s okay to take up space in your own life.

About Cara Knight, LPC

My approach is shaped by personal experience.

When I had my son, I was one of the one in five moms who experienced postpartum depression. I searched for help and found almost no one specializing in this area.

The therapist I finally found ghosted me after one session. (Yep – ghosted.) At the moment I needed support most, I was left alone. That experience shaped everything I do now.

Since then, I’ve trained in perinatal and postpartum mood disorders and built a network of like-minded professionals who care deeply about helping parents through that transition.

It’s not the only thing I treat, but it’s a passion close to my heart.

Everyone needs personal time.

When I’m not in session, you’ll usually find me trying to turn my black thumb green or recharging with family and friends.

Whether I’ve got a dog in my home or not, I’ll always be a dog person at heart.
